Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation is presently hiring for the job role of News Editor in Dubai. This is a full time role. The salary ranges from 20001 AED to 30000 AED that is slightly negotiatable during the interview.
Responsibilities of News Editor
- Advising writers on the content and presentation of material to be published to ensure that it is of the required standard and that it will be produced in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the development of any processes and procedures required to ensure that publications are produced according to the correct standards and on agreed upon delivery dates.
- Participate in defining business requirements for editing news reports, drafting newsletters, and preparing the daily work plan.
- Proofreading reports and news materials in terms of content, language, and accompanying images and submitting amendments to the executive editor.
- Follow up on the publication of the Foundation’s press releases in coordination with various media outlets and coordinate regarding.
- Preparing investigations, dialogues and press conferences about the institution.
- Preparing and implementing media coverage of the organization’s celebrations, seminars, conferences and events.
- Researching topics related to knowledge, combining sources, interviews and studies, proofreading and editing the organization’s posts before and reviewing them before publication.
- Any other duties assigned by the direct manager within the nature of the work.
Requirements of News Editor
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, media studies.
- 2-3 years of experience in similar role.
- UAE national.
