Job Purpose of A Network Operator

• Conduct routine and non routine operational duties to ensure reliable gas supply to customers, site inspections, issuance of permit to works, supervision of critical activities in the vicinity of UAE Gas Network.
• Monitor the implementation of conditions of the approved No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and Permits to Work (PTWs).
• To perform emergency response roles as defined in HSE&S policies & procedures.

Job Duties of A Network Operator

• Prepare, issue and close work permits for repair work, including decommissioning / commissioning of machinery & equipment.
• Implement equipment preparation instructions and safety precautions to be taken throughout the UAE Gas Network pipelines and facilities.
• Perform the duties of Authorized Gas Tester (AGT) Fire Watcher and standby person.
• Perform & supervise all remote operations and maintenance, projects & third-party contractors activities.
• Perform the operation of all transmission pipelines, block valve stations, metering facilities and receipt terminals within the UAE Gas Network.
• Carry out commissioning activities of pipelines and associated facilities as well as the decommissioning/recommissioning of pipelines and facilities of emergency.
• Direct supervision of any excavation works with Gas pipeline.
• Perform operational routine works and ensure full compliance to the NOC and permit to work procedure.
• Report any abnormalities to the Network Controller & exercise the stop work policy.
• Perform remote field operations of the pipeline and facilities in coordination with the Control Room, as and when required.
• Perform pipeline pigging & operations for both periodic cleaning & in line inspections.
• Perform regular diesel generator inspection, operation & test run.
• Perform gas filter operation & gas meter operation, switchover & preparation for maintenance.
• Assist in pre start up safety reviews to ensure proper handover of critical assets to Operations.

What You’ll Do More?

• Implement and administer all PTW (Permit to Work) as per DSO documentation procedure.
• Follow the PTW procedures, including sites checks, prior to and after work completion to validate compliance of work practices under work permit pre-requisites and conditions for all activities within the UAE Gas Network.
• Ensure that third party contractors working along the UAE gas network pipelines and facilities have approved NOC by Dolphin Energy with approved method statement, TRA and PTW and the requirements set out in these documents are adhered to.
• Record and report to the Network Controller any visual abnormalities observed within the UAE Gas Network Pipeline & facilities.
• Take immediate corrective action in the event of an emergency and notify Network Controller / Control Room immediately.
• Participate in emergency response, incident investigation, hazard identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, inspection and audit activities while assisting in conducting investigations on all industrial accidents.
• Perform other similar or related duties as required or assigned by management.

• Technical diploma/Bachelors degree in field related gas pipeline operations & safety.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in similar role.
