About the Role

Aldar Education is seeking a Network and Security Engineer for an immediate start at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi to support its growing family of owned and operated schools across the UAE. Additionally, this full-time position involves managing the day-to-day operation and support of Aldar Education HQ and schools’ network infrastructure, IT network security, and IP Telephony infrastructure. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be part of a new site integration team, assessing, redesigning, redeploying, and maintaining new remote business sites and integrating them into the corporate network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities for Network and Security Engineer at Aldar Education Abu Dhabi

As the Network and Security Engineer, you will provide support to IT functions concerning network problems, including onsite technical support for escalated issues. Moreover, you will troubleshoot network-related issues while adhering to SLAs and OLAs related to network and security services. In addition, you will ensure all assets are patched and updated to minimize security breaches and perform configurations on network switches, routers, and firewalls. Furthermore, you will continuously assess, test, and improve monitoring infrastructure including alarming, logs, and event management. You will also rectify and respond to SOAR alerts, assess infrastructure of new school buildings, and prepare SOWs and BOQs for IT procurement.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication or Computer Engineering. Additionally, professional-level network certification such as CCNP or equivalent along with Palo Alto PCNSE and Fortinet NSE4 or above is required. Moreover, a minimum of five years of experience in IT networking and security is essential. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate hands-on knowledge of Juniper, Huawei, and Cisco switching and routing, Aruba wireless technologies, FortiGate and Palo Alto firewall administration, and Cisco Call Manager IP telephony. A valid driver’s licence and access to a car is also required.
