Music Head – GEMS Founders School, Dubai

GEMS Founders School in Dubai is looking for a talented Head of Music to lead the music department and develop a vibrant musical culture across the school. The ideal candidate is a passionate musician and educator who can inspire students of all ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Music department, setting the strategic direction for music education
• Teach Music across KS3, KS4 and KS5, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Music
• Develop and manage the school’s extra-curricular music programme including choirs, bands and ensembles
• Organise concerts, performances and music events throughout the academic year
• Manage instrumental tuition programmes and external music partnerships
• Oversee department budget, resources and music technology equipment

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education or a related field
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 3 years of music teaching experience with leadership responsibilities
• Proficiency in multiple instruments and strong vocal/choral leadership skills
• Experience with GCSE and A-Level Music syllabi
• Ability to direct ensembles and lead performances

Salary and Benefits

• Tax-free salary: AED 18,000 – 25,000 per month
