King’s College Hospital London Dubai is currently looking for Movement Disorders Physiotherapist in UAE. The successful applicant will support the nationally and internationally recognized Parkinson’s and movement disorders Unit based at King’s college hospital London, Dubai UAE. The post holder will report to Director & lead Parkinson’s & movement disorders center of excellence King’s College Hospital London Dubai, UAE.

Duties of Movement Disorders Physiotherapist

  • To provide a highly specialist level of service to support the management of patients with movement disorders, including Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and Dystonia.
  • Participate in all aspects of the outpatient and inpatient care pathway as appropriate.
  • Perform delegated duties with a high degree of clinical skill, compassion, dedication and knowledge.
  • Support other services as needed for patient flow, follow up clinics.
  • Contribute to decision making for patients to be admitted, transferred or discharged.
  • Sometimes manage patients beyond standard working hours, 9-5 Monday-Friday.
  • Manage overseas and complex patients requiring additional working hours, late evenings and weekend (including public holidays) shifts depending on service needs and patient requirements.
  • Travel to community-based clinics, and participate in Parkinson’s patients community connecting services.
  • Actively involve in research and international meetings, presentations and multidisciplinary, Dystonia and Botulinum toxin clinics.

Qualifications & Experience

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Movement Disorders Physiotherapist:

  • MSc Physiotherapy or related study.
  • Experience in Movement Disorders & Parkinson’s.
  • HCPC registered.
  • IRMER qualification.
  • DHA License Holder.
