Job Description
Monitoring & Control Operator CCTV (5 Vacancies) at Emirates Schools Establishment (Abu Dhabi & Al Ain) is responsible to maintaining the safety and security of the school’s environment through vigilant monitoring of CCTV systems. This role requires a detail oriented individual with the ability to identify and escalate security concerns efficiently.
Duties of Monitoring & Control Operator CCTV
- Continuous Monitoring: Maintain an unwavering focus on live CCTV feeds, ensuring all notifications are reviewed, filtered, and actioned.
- Incident Escalation: Quickly and accurately report any suspicious activities or breaches of security to the immediate supervisor and, if necessary, to the school’s on site security personnel.
- Reporting and logging: Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all observed activities and incidents.
- Keep detailed and precise logs of all surveillance activities, including time stamped entries of observed incidents, to assist in subsequent investigations and reporting.
- Equipment Maintenance Coordination: Identify and report any malfunctions or issues with the CCTV system, initiating requests for maintenance or repair to ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency.
- Ensure the proper functioning of all CCTV equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Professional Growth: Actively participate in training and development sessions to enhance surveillance skills and stay abreast of the latest security technologies and methodologies.
Job Requirements of Monitoring & Control Operator CCTV
- Bachelor’s degree within security, surveillance technology or within a relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, specifically CCTV.
- Experience in CCTV operation or a related field is preferred.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills for effective reporting and coordination. Understanding of and respect for privacy laws and regulations.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure continuous surveillance.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while monitoring surveillance feeds.
- Occasionally required to move around the premises for the purpose of inspecting and maintaining the surveillance equipment.
- May required to move to schools and remote sites to check and investigate.
- The role is primarily situated within the school premises, requiring long periods of stationary monitoring as well as occasional movement around the site for equipment checks.
- Must have a UAE driving license and have flexibility to move around the northern emirates.
- Speaking, Reading & Writing English & Arabic.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Basic technical proficiency with security systems and equipment.
