Job Description
The Merger & Acquisition Director at Abu Dhabi Prots will lead AD Ports Group Maritime & shipping cluster strategic initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions, secure funding for growth and projects, and manage the financial aspects of various projects.
Duties of Merger & Acquisition Director
- Identify, evaluate and execute mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships opportunities aligning with AD Ports Group growth strategy.
- Manage due diligence, negotiations and integration processes for potential merger and acquisition targets while assessing financial, operational and legal aspects.
- Identify funding sources and develop funding strategies to secure capital for AD Ports Group growth and project initiatives.
- Lead the financial aspects of strategic projects, including financial modeling, budgeting and ongoing financial monitoring to ensure projects are delivered within budget and aligned with AD Ports group growth goals.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, feasibility studies and risk assessments for mergers, acquisitions and strategic projects.
- Participate in communicating the financial information and updates to internal and external stakeholders including investors and financial partners.
- Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks associated with projects, mergers and funding initiatives.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, providing constructive feedback and setting goals for professional growth.
- Identify skill gaps and training requirements for the teams to ensure consistent high performance.
- Participate in making strategic decisions that drive corporate growth and enhance profitability.
- Participate in the formulation of the overall Finance strategy and ensure the alignment with group objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on M&A best practices and trends.
- Translate unit strategies into detailed initiatives.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of Merger & Acquisition Director are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any relevant.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Chartered accountancy qualification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA is a plus.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in a similar role with maritime sectors or similar.
- Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- In depth knowledge of capital markets, funding strategies, and financial modelling.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
