Job Purpose of A Medical Board Consultant

To review, assess, evaluate and manage the pre approval request with good medical and coding knowledge and meeting the departmental objective.

Duties of A Medical Board Consultant

• Understand the different aspects of the Healthcare Platform to be able to direct queries to the relevant parties where necessary.
• Contribute significantly to the departmental savings.
• Ensure the accuracy and fairness of medical assessments and evaluations.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree holder.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in preapproval department.

Certification

• Certification in Insurance.
• Certification in medical coding.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• High level of working knowledge of Healthcare regulations in UAE, BAH, OMN & QAT.
• Basic knowledge of DRG and CPT/ICD is a must.
• Sound knowledge of all medical insurance and guidelines.
• Knowledge of different aspects of the Healthcare Platform to be able to direct queries to the relevant parties where necessary.
• Sound knowledge of regulations from regulatory authority.
• Good CPT, ICD and DRG knowledge.
