Job Description

Mechanic (Level 2) at Nabooda Automobiles will be responsible to diagnose, repair and service the range of Volkswagen vehicles in accordance with principal work specifications ensuring each customer receives excellent customer service. Also ensure customer satisfaction, the Fire Alarm Chargehand must complete work to the highest possible standard and within agreed timescales.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing: The team ensures that they diagnose and rectify faults in vehicles using diagnostic equipment & a systemic approach.
  • Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road testing vehicles after work has been carried out, liaise with Service Advisor to advise on additional work and timescales for completion.
  • Work with other workshop and Service Advisors colleagues to provide excellent customer service, share best practice.
  • Repairs: Overhauls, repairs and re-assembles complex mechanical components as needed.
  • Ensure that the work meets the highest possible standard and completes it within agreed timescales.
  • Identify and correct any wheel alignment problems.
  • Warranty: The warranty process covers any required work, ensures completion of all documentation, & coordinates with the warranty department.
  • Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDI’s, Service Report) in line with warranty and dealer requirements.

Requirements for Role of Mechanic

  • Automotive Diploma / High Secondary School.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in this position.
