Marketplace Officer at Sharjah Coop in 464 Sheikh Humaid Bin Saqr Al Qassimi St, Al Yarmook , Halwan Suburb, Sharjah UAE will supervise product listings, optimizing product visibility, researching new opportunities, analyzing data and growing marketplace opportunities. Oversee the daily tasks of the marketplace & assortment section and processing requests. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 7000-15000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Marketplace Officer

• Responsible for the online merchandising & complete content of the products to have the best visibility to drive profitable sales.
• Collect & review customer feedback and marketplace health, updating processes as needed.
• Monitor and understand competitive pricing landscapes.
• Improve/Increase Online listings from time to time in line with the competition to be the Market Leader in pricing.
• Identifying the top selling brands & the top selling SKUs under each brand &  that they are always available in stock for sales.
• Responsible for minimizing the OOS Rate on the website and take necessary action on time in coordination with the FC Team.
• Check inventory levels periodically, procuring additional stocks and identifying the nonmoving stocks and take corrective action. Either by liquidating the stocks through various promotions or transferring them to stores or returning them to the suppliers.
• Coordinate with the Marketing Team to ensure the timely posting of online promotions of the merchandised products through social media platforms. (Facebook, Instagram, Email newsletters & Instagram influencers, etc.)
• Research and work to attract Marketplace Vendors to have the Maximum Number of Brands available on the website.
• Coordinate with Marketplace Vendors for marketing, including promotional opportunities, pricing optimization, content creation (guides, banners, HTML templates, and email).
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the mechanism of all backend tools, processes, and systems.
• Conduct research and relevant analysis to identify new markets opportunities, potential partners and understand competitors’ activities in the retail sector.

What you will do more

• Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, rules, internal policies, and procedures, identify hazards and areas for improvement and take corrective actions.
• Monitor the Sales Performance of the category and determine the best/worst performing products on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis and take necessary actions.
• Prepare reports which provide well-informed information on marketplace & assortment activities, problems/potential problems identified, short  and long-term financial implications, opportunities, results of efforts, risks, and recommendations for corrections.
• Perform any other relevant tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Requirements for Role of Marketplace Officer

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience, including leadership roles in e-commerce management and strategy development.
