As Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for the results of the marketing plan and activities used by the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to all relevant target markets and address hotel business needs. The executive role involves managing individual projects relating to marketing, media relations and internal communications and performing day-to-day administrative duties.

Responsibilities of Marketing Executive

Digital/Online Focus

  • Plan and execute all digital marketing for the hotel including social media and email marketing.
  • Design, build and maintain the social media presence across all digital channels for the properties being in charge.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Identify social media trends and insights to inform the marketing plan.
  • Support the Line Manager in executing effective content management across all available channels, including  hotel website, OTAs, social media, mobile marketing and partnership programs.

Social Media Focus

  • Incorporating social media into your hotel’s marketing strategy and into all marketing campaigns as deemed appropriate.
  • Being aware of communications from the Hilton Social Team when it comes to best practices, announcements and social media recommendations.
  • Point of contact for all things social, including online reputation management, content, strategy, and the daily upkeep of the hotel’s active social channels.
  • Content Creation; able to develop/design static and dynamic content for hotel and F&B outlets individually.
  • Familiarity with design and editing softwares/tools.
  • Think out-of-the-box attitude to deliver innovative results.

PR Focus

  • Ensure hotels have appropriate PR content including up to date media list, press kits, collateral, brochures and all matters relating to communications with relevant external media.
  • Regular media monitoring including collating all media coverage.
  • Being a key point of contact and liaising with journalists and influencers, supporting with hotel stays and logistics.
  • Liaison with the EMEA PR Team as appropriate.

F&B Focus

  • Supporting the senior team and F&B stakeholders with promoting the F&B outlets through different marketing channels.
  • Supporting with and arranging photoshoots and updating available visual assets (for F&B).
  • Producing campaigns and content to promote key F&B moments throughout the year.
  • Monitoring online review platforms (i.e. TripAdvisor)

Business Function

  • Execute and coordinate all agreed hotel marketing strategies and monitor on-going marketing campaign performance and reporting as directed by the cluster Line Manager.
  • Support the cluster Line Manager by developing and implementing promotional activity, cluster merchandising and collaterals for all hotel departments.
  • Execution of all marketing activities for special events, merchandising campaigns, exhibitions and property inspections.
  • Assist with and at times lead on-site photos shoots and hotel filming whilst ensuring all relevant administration duties are completed and approved.
  • Develop and manage working relationships with key members of the creative and media agencies.
  • Be a brand champion for the hotels ensuring all collateral conforms to agreed brand standards, using the right tone of voice and that content is compliant with corporate guidelines.
  • Execute and implement appropriate use of marketing content, creative resources, translation and photography while optimizing an effective online presence in line with regional strategy.
  • Respond to customer postings as appropriate tackling any complaints and issues./
  • Execute and report competitive analysis on the hotels’ food and beverage and ecommerce marketing activities.
  • Ensure all hotels have appropriate marketing content to include up to date media lists, marketing collateral, photo library, newsletters, brochures, desktop publishing and all matters relating to marketing.
  • Excel at being an effective team player in all aspects of the role.

Requirements of Marketing Executive

  • Educated to College level
  • 2 years previous marketing and PR experience.
  • 2+ years previous experience of working in a marketing and PR role for the hospitality industry.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. High level proficiency of native language dependant on location of role.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges.
  • Ability to work under pressure at all times.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, budget management and project and time management.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of commercial awareness, able to adapt to changing priorities with key judgement and decision making skills.
  • Creatively minded and has a desire to work in marketing and/or PR for the hospitality industry.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and is a key team player with a “can do” attitude and thrives on a challenge.
  • Good understanding of Hilton, its core values and management structure.
