Job Description

Al Futtaim Group is currently looking for a Marine Technician in UAE who will be responsible to carry out dealership service on customer vehicles as per company standards and ensure optimum quality with increased productivity and technical efficiency, thereby individually contributing to generate workshop revenue. This is a mid level full time role. For this role the salary ranges from 3000 AED to 6000 AED, which may be slightly negotiatable during the interview.

Duties of Marine Technician

  • Day to day Service & Maintenance activities of Marine engines inside the branch workshop and the field.
  • Correctly diagnose and repair faults.
  • Prepare quotations as accurate as possible at the time of estimation.
  • Write Clear Field Service Reports after completion of each job and obtain customer approval/payment.
  • Responsible for the highest levels of work quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to conduct duties in a workshop environment or independently travel to worksites in various locations.
  • Work closely with the Aftersales Supervisor/Team Leader to ensure that jobs are completed within stipulated manufacturers or local standard times.
  • Timely and accurate machine fault diagnosis and high level of ‘first-time fix’.
  • Should be able to understand and interpret maintenance and repair manuals, schematic drawings, electrical circuits etc.
  • Recommend preventive maintenance and repair solutions to reduce risk of breakdown.
  • Use and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment supplied.
  • Ensure quality of job to avoid errors/rework and take actions to resolve customer concerns to improve customer engagement.
  • Comply with company Quality, Health, Safety & Environment guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures and report all incidents to the supervisor.
  • Participate in Toolbox Talk meetings and undertake safety awareness trainings as provided by the company.

Eligibility Requirements for Marine Technician

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with Marine products.

Skills Desired

  • Willingness to commute and work in different sites/locations as per business requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Teamwork.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Customer oriented.
  • Technically competent, with ability to diagnose and repair products within a set timeframe.
  • Must have ITI Diploma and NCVT.
  • Valid UAE Driving License is a must.
  • Must be able to communicate in both written and spoken English.
