Ministry of Justice is seeking an experienced Manager Projects in IT department in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Ministry of Justice of the UAE was created in 1971, shortly after the establishment of federal government. At federal level, it oversees the court system of the UAE and any associated prosecutorial services. The Ministry also appoints judges and licenses to lawyers, experts and legal translators. It proposes and implements amendments to the rules of procedure for civil and criminal litigation as would serve the interests of justice.

Role of Manager Projects

The Manager Projects is responsible for project success and managing its day-to-day implementation, which includes obtaining resources and coordinating team members’ efforts to deliver projects in accordance with agreed contracts, plans, and project milestones.

Responsibilities of Manager Projects

• Plan and implement, ensuring successful project completion in accordance with deadlines and within specified scope and budget.
• Responsible for monitoring third party commitments and escalating any agreed project differences
• Manage the delivery of multiple projects on time and within budget.
• Implement a project schedule, revising it as needed to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Monitor the daily activities and progress of the project including inventorying and tracking issues, managing project scope, budget and schedule.

Your Duties

• Record changes to project scope, schedule and budget.
• Risk management including identifying risks, monitoring them, and taking corrective mitigation actions with all stakeholders.
• Maintain written communication with senior management throughout the project period to provide them with periodic updates in developing RFPs and evaluating technical proposals.
•  Maintain project documentation including minutes of signed meetings and other relevant project documents.
•  Ensure a structured and consistent approach, risk mitigation and financial controls, including all project processes, models and project governance.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related.
• Project management certification such as PMP or Prince2.
• More than 8 years experience in IT Project Management.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of Project management methodologies.
• English and Arabic Fluency.
• Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Can efficiently work both independently and in a team.
• Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
