Manager PR & Communications Jumeirah Beach Hotel

An opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Manager or Manager PR & Communications to join Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The incumbent will be responsible for managing internal and external communications and activations, that support commercial objectives, build brand awareness, and promote the company’s culture of excellence through captivating and informative storytelling. Support Director or Associate Director Communications and PR in managing day to day operations.

Responsibilities of Manager PR & Communications

  • Working closely with the Hotel to support any operational needs as per the job description.
  • Support the Associate Director to set strategies and develop plans in partnership with external agencies.
  • Manage day to day external and internal communications activities to deliver key messages to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist the Associate Director of Marketing with the development of the annual external communications plans to promote the hotel focused around the three brand pillars service, dining, design and ensuring quality rollout of the plan.
  • Review, edit and sign off content intended for internal and external channels to ensure consistency in the global narratives, compliance with brand guidelines and maximum impact on target audiences.
  • Responsible for managing and delivering original stories and campaigns designed to build brand and colleague engagement with the support of agency partners and immediate direct reports.
  • Assist Associate Director in delivery of internal commas programs, initiatives, and branded content e.g. quarterly town hall, Spirit of Jumeirah activations, etc.
  • Assist Associate Director in building relationships with key business partners, media and KOLs to support business objectives.
  • Working closely with the marketing, sales and e-commerce functions to ensure integration of activity across the relevant channels.
  • Building relationships with key media in the UAE and ensuring their attendance at relevant hotel events.

What You’ll Do More?

  • Oversee creative design communications collateral not limited to newsletters,
    presentations, reports, media collateral and video communications.
  • Oversee administrative function of the department including contract management, budget management, invoicing, ROI analysis for all campaigns, and departmental document management.
  • Day to day liaison with external PR and social media agencies, ensuring the quality of delivery.
  • Ensure news is shared in a timely manner across internal communications channels.
  • Oversee the management of social channels communications and activations in a timely manner.
  • Accomplishes department’s objectives by assisting Director or Associate Director as necessary with planning, monitoring, and successful execution of projects and campaigns.
  • Manage effective working relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Oversees regular departmental meetings, responds to issues and share updates, provide counselling and shares feedback.
  • Respond with two-way communication. Manages Colleague’s appraisals and bi-monthly reviews where applicable.
  • Support the corporate office to handle any issues that occur in the hotel with the aim of protecting the reputation of the hotel /brand in the media and on social channels.
  • Responsible for increasing brand awareness through the effective use of social media.
  • Coach, mentor and develop Social Media Assistant Manager.
  • Manage social media calendars ensuring content is on brand and approved.
  • Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns.
  • Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed responsible by management.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental policies, HSE processes, standard operating procedures and instructions enabling excellent service delivery in line with Jumeirah standard of excellence.
  • Manage and oversee Department performance against the budget.
  • Works with direct reports to determine areas of concern and establish ways to improve the departments financial performance.
  • Identifies key drivers of business success and keeping leadership focused on the critical few to achieve results.

Job Requirements of Manager PR & Communications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.
  • 5 years experience in Communications and PR preferably within the international luxury hospitality industry.
  • Experience working in a multi cultural environment.
  • Strong media contacts within top tier luxury, lifestyle, fashion and business press.
