Emirates Airlines is hiring skilled candidate for the job role of Manager Global Financial Partnerships in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible to drive ancillary revenue growth, high-profit contribution and active engagement for Skywards in strategic markets by building new Financial Loyalty Partnerships, with a focus on innovation and scalability, through research, commercial discussions and negotiation with prospective partners. Lead a team to monitor partner performance, strengthen relationships and leverage existing partnerships for increased member engagement, new acquisitions and additional revenue opportunities.

Duties of Manager Global Financial Partnerships

  • Explore and source new financial loyalty partnership opportunities in strategic markets. Lead the negotiations with prospective partners to secure additional ancillary revenue for Skywards and build and develop business cases to demonstrate partnership value.
  • Develop one to three-year strategies (short and longer-term) across respective verticals, working with VP Partnerships and the extended Skywards leadership team, to meet Partnerships and Skywards Dept KPIs. Conduct industry and market research, and work with local commercial teams to source new partnership opportunities.
  • Lead contracting discussions and contract review process with Emirates Group Legal and partners, and negotiate favourable legal terms for Skywards.
  • Guide the Partnerships Accounts team through complex work streams across contracting, systems, finance, marketing and product development to launch new partnerships. Provide governance through the Partnerships Framework and Skywards Dept PMO process.
  • Build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure partnerships are developed and managed effectively, using influence and industry knowledge to gain support and remove obstacles.
  • Drive optimal performance of the partnerships through agreed project milestones, monthly revenue targets and quarterly review meetings. Manage the annual budget and monthly financial forecasts to ensure partner revenue/costs are tracked accurately. Take corrective timely actions with partners to manage any discrepancies.
  • Identify and source new loyalty solution platforms that allow to scale quickly to new markets. Work with the Skywards Business Systems team to ensure technical solutions are fit for purpose and provide best-in-class services.

What You Will Do More

  • Collaborate with partners to manage the combined member portfolio through data-driven marketing campaign activities, data analysis & insights gathering, and reporting to increase partnership awareness, effectiveness and revenue.
  • Manage, coach and develop team members through regular performance feedback, ensuring they understand their required Goals and Contributions, and have the necessary skills to execute their role effectively. Champion talent development by identifying opportunities, gaps and strengths. Working with individuals to support their career growth within the Emirates Group. Contribute to the Skywards Department Leadership vision and mission through group forums, cross-functional working groups and collaborative strategy development.

Specific to Financial Partnerships:

  • Explore and source new financial partnership opportunities in strategic global markets (outside of UAE and GCC), including cobrand, points exchange, prepaid, and fintech programmes.
  • Work with global financial partners to expand in multiple geographies increasing member acquisition and engagement.

Specific to Travel & Lifestyle Partnerships:

  • Manage the mutual experience to ensure a seamless earn/burn proposition to members to increase member engagement and programme effectiveness.

Requirements for Role of Manager Global Financial Partnerships

The requirements for the job role of Manager Global Financial Partnerships are as under:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Commerce, Business Management, Marketing or related discipline.
  • 10+ years experience in commercial or strategic partnerships, preferably with airline and loyalty industry knowledge and experience in business development.
  • Experience in commercial or strategic partnerships, preferably with airline and loyalty industry knowledge. Experience in sales marketing or business development.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to persuade and influence decisions.
