Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is presently recruiting suitably qualified and skilled candidate for the role of Manager Food and Beverage. The job holder will oversee the operation and staff of a restaurant or food service facility, ensuring quality service, compliance with health and safety standards, and profitability.
Responsibilities Of Manager Food and Beverage
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the food and beverage department, aligning with the overall goals and objectives of the hotel.
- Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to make informed decisions and enhance the department’s profitability.
- Recruit, train, and supervise team members, ensuring a high standard of service and professionalism.
- Set performance standards and provide regular feedback to team members for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to create diverse, innovative menus that cater to the preferences and dietary requirements of guests.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain consistent standards.
- Maintain a guest-centric approach, ensuring a memorable and satisfying dining experience for all guests.
- Address guest feedback and resolve any concerns or issues promptly.
- Assist with the management of the department’s budget, control costs, and maximize revenue through effective pricing strategies.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
- Manage and monitor Budgeting and Cost Control .
- Ensure that the Departmental Objectives are cascaded to the colleagues.
- Carries out assignments and instructions as delegated by the Director of F&B ensuring that all company and Hotel Policies and Procedures and minimum standards are adhered to at all times.
- Assists in the co-ordination of special promotions and provides administrative support necessary.
- Participates in public relations activities, sales calls or other promotional activities designed at enhancing the Image and profitability of the hotel.
- To assist identifying market changes which will improve business levels from hotel guests and the local market.
- To assist in monitoring and analyzing the activities and trends of competitive restaurants, bars & hotels .
- Participates in training and development programs to improve personal or departmental standards liaising with the Training Manager.
- Carries out an efficient leadership style using appraisals and performance management as main tools.
- Deputises in the absence of the Director of Food and Beverage.
Requirements Of Manager Food and Beverage
- College Degree in Hospitality, Business or any relevant field from an accredited College or University.
- Certifications in food safety, alcohol handling or a university degree of hospitality management is advantageous.
- 4 –7 years food and beverage experience.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive revenue, control costs, and manage budgets effectively.
