Flydubai is actively accepting applications from suitably qualified candidate for role of a Manager Contracts. The incumbent will be responsible to manage commercial and contractual risks through proactive contract management of flydubai’s strategic, and infrastructure construction projects.
Responsibilities of Manager Contracts
- Understands all aspects of construction contracts and the commercial, financial, technical and legal application thereof to the benefit of all contracting parties and project disciplines.
- Implements and maintains accepted policies and procedures to give maximum efficacy to each contract aimed at maximizing contract delivery and resolving disagreement and disputes in a timely manner.
- Ensures that all project departments and disciplines understand and adhere to contractual obligations; recording, notifying and communicating with them accurately.
- Implements sound change management practices to maximize opportunities and recoveries.
- Maintains sound governance, compliance and ethics practices.
- Manages the procurement which includes the development of a procurement and contracting strategy and liaising with the procurement department on a regular basis to expedite projects.
- Manages the sourcing, vendor pre-qualification, tendering, contract drafting and finalization. Familiar with standard forms of contract such as FIDIC, ICE, JCT, used in the construction industry.
- Manages contracts including the supervision, review, monitoring, evaluation and reporting on all consultant and contractor contracts.
- Budgets and controls costs to provide an oversight of the Master Budget and each of the constituent projects and contracts which form part of the overall program.
- Review all the payment applications with a summary of all findings and a final recommendation on payments.
- Assesses variations through review, assess, value all variations, and makes recommendations to the client.
- Manages claims through review, identify and track causes, check validity, assess time and cost impacts and make recommendations to the management.
- Finalises Accounts by managing the preparation, submittal, review, and settlement of account upon project completion.
Requirements For Manager Contracts
Eligibility requirements for role of Manager Contracts are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Procurement management certifications such as CIPS, SPSM, CICCM is preferred.
- 10 years of experience (without Relevant Degree).
- Contracts change management and claims management experience.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Contract management training or knowledge of FIDIC, JCT, NEC and other standard forms of contracts.
