Job Description

Duties of Manager Contracts

  • Coordinate, prepare and monitor the preparation of the tender and contract documentation.
  • Assist in contractual aspect of tender evaluation.
  • Draft contract documents/agreements and negotiates contract/agreement terms and conditions with contractors / consultants.
  • Review contract/agreement documents and contractual correspondence.
  • Drafting of contractual correspondence and notices for use in substantiating future claims.
  • Review and provide contractual advice, and if necessary commercial advice, and assistance in relation to project claims and variations.
  • Overseeing all contract matters.
  • Any other trouble shooting assignments requested by any other determent in relation to contractual matters.

Eligibility Requirements for Role of Manager Contracts

The requirements for the job role of Manager Contracts are as under:

  • Bachelors Degree in QS or Building Economics or Construction Management or equivalent, Masters Degree would be advantageous.
  • Min. 10-12 years of work experience with at least 5-8 years of experience in contract drafting.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Familiar with FIDIC (particulalry FIDIC 1987 and FIDIC 1999).
  • Ability to work in International form of Contracts like JCT, AIA and other bespoke versions.
  • Excellent English language skill (both spoken and written).
  • Must be able to draft amendments to agreements, settlement agreements, etc.
  • Must be able to address and resolve contractual issues/disputes.
  • Very organized, efficient, systematic and team player.
  • Member of a professional QS institution (such as AIQS, RICS, RISM, CArb).
