Job Description
Apparel Group is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the daily maintenance operations in Dubai. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for all employees, handling repairs, inspections, vendor management, and compliance with building codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Building Maintenance Oversight:Â Conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems to maintain optimal functionality.
- Vendor Management:Â Liaise with contractors, vendors, and service providers to schedule maintenance work, negotiate service contracts, and ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Preventative Maintenance:Â Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule, reducing the need for reactive repairs and minimizing downtime.
- Health & Safety Compliance:Â Ensure all building maintenance activities adhere to local health and safety regulations, fire safety codes, and company policies.
- Inventory & Equipment Management:Â Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, managing reordering processes and coordinating equipment repairs or replacements.
- Budget Management:Â Assist in budgeting for maintenance needs, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Reporting & Documentation:Â Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and vendor communications. Prepare regular reports on building conditions and maintenance costs.
- Emergency Response:Â Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, coordinating repairs as needed to minimize disruptions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or certificate in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a maintenance or facilities coordination role, preferably in an office or commercial building environment.
- Familiarity with building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing) and preventative maintenance practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with external vendors and manage contractor relationships effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance management software.
- Knowledge of UAE building codes and health & safety regulations.
- Problem-solving attitude with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe and comfortable workplace.
