Logistics Technician in Inventory at GAL in Khalifa City, Sector 33, Abu Dhabi, UAE is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy is maintained at all times through an effective system update from various warehouse tasks such as Picking, issuing, Binning, Scrap processing, return to Inventory, Cycle Count Inventory, Shelf Life verification and other related warehouse activities in compliance with company’s interest, operating procedures and standards. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 5000-10000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Logistics Technician

  • Assists Inspectors in receiving and inspection process according to current policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all items received have the proper validation from end user prior to binning.
  • Ensures all items demanded are issued in a timely manner accompanied with the proper documentation.
  • Stores all items in a proper location with the correct item label and within the standard temperature and humidity. (incl. POL)
  • Ensures all system transactions are correctly update in cMRO Oracle system.
  • Checks shelf life of controlled items ensuring they are done and reported to the concerned parties (if applicable).
  • Conducts regular Cycle Count or Inventory Check as per agreed schedule (if applicable)
  • Ensures all discrepancies are report to the concern parties.
  • Creates entries and manages Stock Discrepancy Report. (SDR) system (if applicable)
  • Ensures all identified scrap items are properly processed according to current policies and procedures.
  • Manages and maintains annual leave schedules so that it does not affect daily operations.
  • Ensures all set Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are achieve at all times.
  • Ensures all Repair items are process according to current policies and procedures. (if applicable)
  • Schedules all Pick Up and Delivery (PUD) ensuring that it is implement to support internal customers. (if applicable)
  • Ensures all items for dispatch are properly pack and within the current policies and procedures. and to ensure package can withstand the travel to inter organization or outside of country.
  • Prioritizes all items required for deployment and processes according to set standards. (if applicable)
  • Ensures all items identify for War Reserves are maintain and consistently rotate. (if applicable)
  • Responds to email inquiries pertaining to part availability, discrepancies and other relevant issues.
  • Manages loading and unloading requirements during receipt of deliveries and dispatch to base.
  • Performs daily monitoring of temperature, humidity, equipment and tools checklist.

  • Provides support for special projects, programs and to ensure all contractual requirements are implement including documentation and delivery issues.
  • Handles Shipment tracking and expediting of AOG and IOR items to monitor when received and dispositioned.
  • Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carry out in a control and consistent manner.
  • Recommends improvements to department’s policy and procedures in line with the drive for continuous improvement.
  • Creates and/ or maintains filing system of all documentations in order to facilitate future referencing and easy accessibility.
  • Updates records and maintains files, both paper and electronic database.
  • Creates and maintains assigned reports for management or departmental purpose.
  • Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement across all areas of the department. Not exclusive to their own area of responsibilities.
  • Follows all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls, so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guarantee.
  • Accomplishes safety and housekeeping checks in the working areas.
  • Ensures that accountabilities for the implementation of improvement opportunities are complete within the assign deadlines.
  • Performs other related duties or assignments.

Requirements for Role of Logistics Technician

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an aerospace maintenance and aircraft operating environment, preferably in military, of which at least 2 years in a similar position in an aviation distribution industry.
  • Forklift license is an advantage.
