Import/Export industry in Dubai is currently seeking a detail oriented and proactive individual to join their team as a Logistic Coordinator. This role is essential in coordinating and managing the logistical operations to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities of Logistic Coordinator

Coordinate and monitor all aspects of the logistics process, including transportation, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Liaise with internal teams, external vendors, and carriers to schedule shipments, track deliveries, and resolve any transportation issues or delays.
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, customs declarations, and export/import documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements.
Manage inventory levels and stock movements, conducting regular inventory checks, reconciliations, and cycle counts to maintain accuracy and prevent stockouts or overages.
Optimize logistics processes and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices.
Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any logistics related inquiries or concerns, providing timely and accurate information and updates.
Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper handling, storage, and distribution of goods, including coordinating pickups, deliveries, and transfers between facilities.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to logistics operations, such as on time delivery, fill rates, and inventory turnover, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Assist with the resolution of logistics related issues, including claims, damages, shortages, and returns, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to find timely and satisfactory resolutions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to logistics, transportation, and warehousing activities.

Requirements of Logistic Coordinator

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience of 1-2 years in logistics coordination, transportation management, or supply chain operations.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

Familiarity with transportation modes, shipping methods, and customs regulations, with experience in international logistics preferred.
Proficiency in logistics software and systems, including ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
Strong organizational and problem solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record keeping.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed to meet business demands.
