Role of A Engineer Aircraft
To carry out routine maintenance tasks and defect rectification of aircraft as per company and associated regulatory procedures.
Responsibilities of Engineer Aircraft
- To apply scientific and technological principles to the research, development and design of aircraft and their components.
- Research design specifications for aircraft and the relevant support equipment.
- May sometimes involve in the assembly, testing and modification of these components.
- Making inspections, overseeing maintenance, and servicing aircraft.
- Responsible for Performance testing.
- Aim to improve safety features and minimize fuel consumption and pollution.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervising the assembly of aircraft systems and engines.
- Testing aircraft to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Applying scientific principles to improve the performance of aircraft.
- Investigating problems with aircraft or the causes of accidents.
- Creating reports for clients and providing technical advice.
- Maintaining aircraft and carrying out regular inspections.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Aeronautical subjects/Mechanical/Avionics/Electronic/Tech Engineering.
- Maintenance Engineering License.
- 5 plus years experience in Engineering as a certifying staff.
Other Requirements
- Minimum of 2 aircraft type approvals.
- Fully conversant with Air Legislation and legal matters that relate to the operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards EFTA (Emirates Flight Training Academy).
- Must have UAE GCAA/ICAO Type II/EASA Part 66 license rated in B1.1 and/or B1.2 categories and/or B2 category, in addition to company approvals.
- Rating in at least 1 EFTA aircraft type desirable, plus 9+ years experience in aviation maintenance.
