Michael Page has an opportunity for Legal Director Infrastructure Investment to join headquartered out of Abu Dhabi and is focused on unlocking integrated value chain of infrastructure and infrastructure related investments. This is a good opportunity to lead Legal function of rapidly growing investment entity. Candidate must have previous experience in infrastruccture investments.

Responsibilities of Legal Director

  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on all aspects of the company’s international infrastructure investments.
  • Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and review of various contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to infrastructure operations, joint ventures, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Manage legal due diligence processes for potential investments and transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including executives, finance, and operations teams, to provide legal support and guidance.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, disputes, and negotiations with external parties.
  • Stay updated on legal developments, trends, and best practices in the industry.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and advisors.

Requirements of Legal Director

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a reputable law school, with a license to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Minimum:10 years of experience practicing law, with a strong focus on international transactions and infrastructure investments.
  • Previous experience working in a senior legal role within the infrastructure sector is highly desirable.

Skills and Abilities Desired

  • Deep understanding of international business and legal frameworks, including contract law, corporate law, and international trade regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing legal aspects of complex international transactions.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a legal team effectively.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
