University of Sharjah is presently seeking applications from candidates for position of Lecturer to join their Nursing Department in College of Health Sciences. The University of Sharjah (UoS) was established in 1997 with the aim and vision to contribute to the qualities shared by renowned universities around the world. The education and research programs they offer tend to be comprehensive and multi-disciplinary. UoS has 14 colleges ​and offers 122 programs across multiple academic disciplines. Courses are offered in a variety of fields ranging from Sharia and Law to Health Sciences, Medicine, Fine Arts and Design, Engineering and Communication. They also offer a wide range of degree programs at the diploma, BSc/BA, MSc/MA and Ph.D. Levels​ as well as the Executive MBA (EMBA) program.

Job Purpose of A Lecturer

To deliver theory, clinical and skills laboratory and simulation training to nursing students.

Your Duties As A Lecturer In UoS

• Teaching didactic courses and clinical courses.
• Undertaking a teaching load of 15 credit hours.
• Invigilating / proctor examinations for the courses assigned to him/her in accordance with the approved regulations of the University.
• Allocating office hours for student visits.
• Implementing tasks assigned by the Department Chairperson, Center Director, College Dean, or Chancellor.
• Devoting him/herself full-time to his/her academic duties at the University and maintain the University’s high stature and reputation.
• Undertaking community service and endeavor to meet the needs of the community in accordance with the guidelines set by the University.
• Supervising student research, reports and activities related to the courses they teach.
• Undertaking student academic advising.
• Performing 40 hours of work per week distributed across the above-mentioned duties.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• MSc. in Nursing from a University recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education.

Experience

• At least 3 years of academic teaching in undergraduate nursing programs and clinical experience.

• All nationalities.
