Job Purpose of A Lecturer
Responsible for instructing and mentoring students, conducting, and publishing original research within their discipline, and service to the Academy.
Duties of A Lecturer
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students to develop their knowledge skills and competence as the future hospitality and tourism industry leaders.
- Supervising students and accompanying them in their projects and research projects.
- Contributing to a culture of continuous professional development and excellence in teaching and learning.
- Conducting research applied to the needs of the programme and relevant to the Hospitality and Tourism Industry, and aligned with current issues in the discipline.
- Engaging in scholarly activities including conferences and seminars to disseminate the results of research conducted at the EAHM.
- Presenting Professional Development Courses to facilitate the development of industry colleagues.
- Any other duties such as service to the institution as may reasonably be requested by the management.
- Carry out any other duties commensurate with the scale and grade of the post.
Qualification & Experience
- Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of two year of teaching experience in a hospitality/Business related undergraduate programme.
- A minimum of two years of experience in curriculum/course design.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Must have a portfolio of research activities that offer a realistic prospect of publication in international referred journals.
- Team player, able to foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
