Job Purpose of A Learning Specialist
To support and guide the development of employee competence through the facilitation and evaluation of various learning and development programmes.
Duties of A Learning Specialist
- Identify and assess the learning and development needs of employees.
- Develop learning and development interventions that effectively address learning needs.
- Deliver planned learning and development activities.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of learning and development interventions.
- Document and report the outcome of learning and development interventions.
Who Can Apply?
Qualification
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree or diploma.
Certification
- Certification in Training and Development or related studies is desired
Experience
- At least 3-4 years’ experience in facilitation of learning and development or training in a formal setting, at least 1 year of which involved team leading responsibilities.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a healthcare environment is desired.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Create learning support material, including training manuals.
- E-learning content authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Moodle, etc.).
- Evaluation of learning effectiveness using the Kirkpatrick’s Evaluation Model.
- Instructional design principles.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Hospital and Clinic operations.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Effective teaching and learning (pedagogical) practices.
- Video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premier Pro).
