Job Description

Learning & Development Specialist at Al Masaood in Infiniti Showroom Building, Fatima Bint Mubarak Street (Formally Najda Street), PO Box 322, Abu Dhabi, UAE will take responsibility of optimizing the L&D and performance management data procedures and pinpointing opportunities for enhancement. This specialist is involved in crafting and recording reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, while also assisting in the detection of patterns within past training reports for the team. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-20000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Learning & Development Specialist

  • Evaluate the learning and development needs of the company and its workforce by identifying areas with skill gaps, and identifying where training and development efforts are necessary.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and the Group Learning and Development Manager to create and design training programs. And materials tailored to address the identified requirements. This encompasses the development of e-learning modules, workshops, seminars, and various educational resources.
  • Coordinate with external trainers, facilitators, or instructors to ensure the smooth facilitation of training, whether in a classroom setting, online, or a combination of both.
  • Take charge of managing and overseeing the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS) to monitor training progress, compliance. And performance. Ensure the LMS remains current and user-friendly.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners (HRBP) and managers to integrate training and development into the performance management process. This support includes activities like defining performance goals, conducting performance assessments, delivering constructive feedback, and executing their business decisions for the L&D Team and performance management cycle.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs and initiatives through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics. Make improvements based on feedback and evaluation results.
  • Maintain records of training programs, attendance, and completion certificates for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Communicate training opportunities and initiatives to all employees and promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Effectively work with external training providers, consultants, or vendors to deliver specialized training programs.
  • Support in overseeing the preparation of the Learning& Development budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget.

  • Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new training technologies. Apply innovative and efficient approaches to learning and development.
  • Deliverables/Self-Management Responsibilities:
  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the Line Manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the year.
  • Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the Line Manager to ensure that the required training is arranged and attended.
  • Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency in all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.

Requirements for Role of Learning & Development Specialist

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or Education, or a relevant certification i.e. equivalent to CIPD, Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
  • 2 – 4+ years’ experience doing quantitative analysis.
  • Experience as an L&D Assistant or Coordinator would be advantageous.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Strong project management skills to plan, organize, and facilitate in execution of training programs effectively.
  • Ability to assess training needs, analyze data, and measure the effectiveness of training programs.
