Lead Technical Architect Arab Bank

An exciting opportunity has been announced by Arab Bank for the job role of Lead Technical Architect. The job holder is responsible to satisfy the business within the projects scope in all aspects of a technical nature. Assist the LTC and technical teams address complex problems, resolve issues, challenging both colleagues and internal teams and vendors when required and demonstrate proven stakeholder Management Skills with all contacts support and enhance the overall architectural and non-functional solution design.

Responsibilities of Lead Technical Architect

• Technical Design Authority to promote the benefits of a solution based on established Reference Architectures, Core Product and Model Bank, and adhering to the governing principles agreed between ATB and the Vendors for the project.
• Design viable technical solutions compatible with business solutions, agreed requirements, contractual obligations and project plans.
• Identify, evaluate and offer mitigation strategies for technical risks
• Provide expert advice and guidance to the technology team on the optimal implementation of Transact system products within the ATB infrastructure, thus achieving the desired non-functional characteristics such as online and COB performance, high availability, disaster recovery and associated testing strategy
• Provide an effective link between the project team and Development Teams and the Technology Product Group in respect of Reference Architecture and Sizing information.
• Support Project Manager to prevent scope creep, eliminating the design and delivery of inconsistent solutions, and providing transparency and quality check on the entire solution design process. Helping the Project Manager to negotiate and agree any specific technical or architectural divergences from the implementation methodology with the vendors (for example, to incorporate ATB specific methodology and naming standards) and communicate them to project team members.
• Ensure that the Technical Consulting and architectural elements of Transact implementation methodology are understood and followed by and adhered to by project team members. Work closely with vendors, project team members and integrators to agree on the solution from technical perspective and help to develop a robust and viable architecture related to ATB value and business benefit.

What You’ll Do More?

• Take ownership for applying leading practice in terms of methodology and component re-use, covering the whole ATB footprint.
• Complete/review Solution Design Documents for technical areas as defined in work package.
• Define/review technical solutions for customization and configuration needs for Transact products as per agreed technical definitions.
• Ensure completion of system parameters data collection through the Technical Process Analysis phase and during the whole implementation of the project.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) where required from a continuity perspective on projects.
• Liaise with the support and maintenance groups to ensure that the product problems identified are understood and resolved.
• Lead the installation of custom enhancements and give final validation on technical set-up and conduct necessary reviews/testing to ensure user acceptance and global quality of the solution delivered.
• Coach other Technical Consultants
• Provide advice and guidance to the technology team on environment management and release control between various pre-live environments.
• Perform such other duties, functions and services, consistent with status or vocational ability, as may from time to time be required.

Requirements of Lead Technical Architect

The requirements of Lead Technical Architect are as under:

• Graduated degree in a technical discipline from a recognized university
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a software technical consultancy including T24 implementation in a banking environment.
• Experience implementing multi-factor authentication.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• A detailed level of knowledge of at least one T24 Transact product along with the ability to explain multiple others
• Knowledge of or Digital Infinity product architecture and functional expertise
• Temenos product knowledge and general architecture of T24 and related interfaces
• Knowledge in efficient data flow, system interoperability, and effective integration across different platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of IT risks, cyber security, and computer operating software.
• Understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and security.
• Knowledge of Event driven architecture, API integration, Integration and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Knowledge on agile methodologies and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Application Servers (jBOSS, Web Sphere, Web Logic)
• OS (Windows, RedHat Linux, IBM AIX)
• Understanding of RDBMS, knowledge of MSSQL, DB2 or Oracle RDMS. NoSQL DB, Kubernetes, KAFKA, ZOOKEEPER
• Exposure to mainframes.
• Programming experience in Infobasic, Java, Javascript. Application Servers (jBOSS, Web Sphere, Web Logic)
