Lead International Taxation Mashreq Bank UAE

Lead International Taxation at Mashreq Bank UAE is responsible to handle the ongoing BEPS reporting, tax / transfer price audit requirements for mashreq group and assist in implementing and managing the compliance of upcoming UAE Corporate Income Tax (CIT), BEPS Global Minimum Tax (GMT) regime.

Responsibilities of Lead International Taxation

• Timely and accurate filing of the ongoing BEPS reporting requirements viz. Country by Country Reporting (CbCR), Economic Substance Reporting (ESR), Master File, Local file etc. working with all internal and external stakeholders, CAD, tech, Ops, admin etc.
• Ensure the compliance of all BEPS / tax reporting requirements by mashreq overseas branches and be the single point of contact to provide data support and guidance for consistency of position for the overseas finance teams for handling data / info requirements for compliance & audit obligations.
• Provide support as per project timelines in collating information to ensure timely implementation of UAE CIT and GMT regime working with the Manager Corporate and International Taxation & other stakeholders in finance, ops, tech.
• Handle the data collation requirements for Tax and Transfer pricing audits.
• Timely and accurate filing of CIT and GMT returns going forward.

Requirements of Lead International Taxation

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field.
• Accounting / tax qualification with 3-5 years of experience.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Basic understanding of corporate income tax and of beps pillar 2.0 framework and the associated regulations.
• Understanding of banking business and ability to understand the reporting matters in the context of mashreq business model.
• Ability to handle reporting / compliance obligations independently.
• Preferably qualified chartered accountant.
