Responsibilities of A Lead Flow Assurance Engineer

• Responsible for the technical accuracy, quality and execution of flow assurance on downstream oil and gas FEED, detailed engineering projects.
• Promote achievements in flow assurance on downstream oil and gas internally and externally.
• Execute business winning activities involving significant downstream oil and gas content both internally and externally.
• Present reports at conferences, participate in advisory committees to government, client presentations and discussions.
• Participate in the development of execution plans for follow-on business.
• Responsible for coaching and mentoring flow assurance within Upstream in order to bring others up to the same expert level of technical knowledge.
• Technical audits of projects.
• Liaise with all customers on technical matters.
• Manage technical flow assurance solutions whilst maintaining the commercial objectives of the project.
• Provision of flow assurance knowledge to study managers, project personnel, clients and third parties.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Lead Flow Assurance Engineer are as under:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering or relevant science subject.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience in onshore flow assurance in FEED, detailed engineering projects.
• Experience in the assessment and development of operating and control strategies for start-up and shut-down.
• Experience in the steady state thermal hydraulic design of flowlines, pipelines and pipeline bundles.
• Experience in the analysis of hydrodynamic instability (slugging) and surge.
• Experience in the management of asphaltenes, wax and chemicals, pigging, scale, foaming and separation, hydrate inhibition, corrosion inhibition.
• Experience in reservoir fluid characterization and phase behavior analysis.
• Familiar with two and three phase flow, pipeline modelling techniques and computer tools in both steady state and dynamic mode.
