Lead Engineer Test Environments at RAKBANK Dubai is responsible to ensure the efficient management and operation of test environments, supporting the testing of software applications and systems to meet quality standards and project timelines.

Responsibilities of Lead Engineer Test Environments

• The successful candidate will collaborate with the infrastructure team, overseeing the ownership, configuration, and version control of test environments to support both System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Own and manage the test environments, including two System Integration test environments and one User Acceptance test environment.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure the availability, stability, and scalability of test environments.
• Implement and maintain a robust version control system for applications deployed in test environments.
• Coordinate with development teams to ensure proper versioning of applications before deployment.
• Develop and implement processes for tracking the deployment of applications to each test environment.
• Collaborate with the Principal Test Engineer to establish deployment schedules and monitor adherence.
• Oversee configuration management activities for test environments, ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Work closely with the infrastructure team to implement configuration changes as needed.
• Collaborate with development, testing, and infrastructure teams to understand deployment requirements and dependencies.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on the status of test environments and deployments.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for test environment configurations, deployment processes, and version control procedures.
• Ensure that documentation is up to date and accessible to relevant team members.
• Build dashboards for environment tracking.

Requirements of Lead Engineer Test Environments

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of proven experience in test environment management, with a focus on System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test environments promptly.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
