Job Description
Hotels/Restaurant industry is currently seeking a diligent and detail oriented individual to join their team as a Laundry Attendant. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens and towels to ensure guest satisfaction and comfort.
Responsibilities of Laundry Attendant
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, and other laundry items according to established procedures and standards.
- Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines, safely and efficiently.
- Inspect linens and towels for stains, damages, or wear and tear, segregating items that require special treatment or repair.
- Handle and store laundry chemicals and detergents properly, following safety guidelines and protocols for handling hazardous materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room and storage areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels of linens and towels, notifying supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
- Assist with inventory management, tracking incoming and outgoing laundry items and maintaining accurate records.
- Follow proper procedures for handling soiled linens and contaminated materials, including sorting, pre treating stains, and disposing of waste.
- Collaborate with other housekeeping team members and departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and towels to guest rooms and public areas.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards for laundry operations and guest service.
Requirements of Laundry Attendant
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in laundry operations is a plus.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, and push heavy laundry carts and equipment.
- Previous experience of 1-2 years as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
