Job Description

DAMAC presently has a job opening for suitably dedicated and consistent candidate for position of a Laundry Attendant in DAMAC Executive Heights, TECOM, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, PO Box 2195 Dubai, UAE. This is an Entry level full time job. And salary can range between 3000-5000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Laundry Attendant

  • Always provides courteous and professional service.
  • Understands and is aware of all fire and safety procedures.
  • Attends the training sessions conducted by the department trainers and in the training department.
  • To protect all types of garments from damage, shrinkage and color fading.
  • Responsible in identifying the laundering process based on care label.
  • Is knowledgeable and able to operate all the laundry machineries; able to load and unload the washing machines, dryers and dry-cleaning machines.
  • Is knowledgeable and able to apply chemicals and formulas for laundering process.
  • Inspects clothing prior to laundering and reports for any items found in pockets or if any damages on garments.
  • Ensures that the guest laundry, dry cleaning and pressing are collected and returned as quickly and efficiently as possible based on the preferred timing.
  • Responsible in quality checking of garments prior to washing, dry cleaning, drying, ironing and folding process.
  • Keeps records of laundry pickup, delivery and special instructions of guest garments in designated logbooks.
  • Responsible in creating laundry requisitions for guest supplies, stationery, chemicals etc. for Laundry Supervisor’s approval.
  • Keeps work areas, equipment and the laundry carts clean, neat and safe condition at all time.
  • Is presentable and always carry’s a smile and greets the guest before the guest greets.
  • To carry out any other duties as requested by the Housekeeping Management.
  • Maintains and controls the consumption of cleaning materials and manage the stock level of cleaning supplies.

Requirements for Role of Laundry Attendant

  • Secondary school Graduate.
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in a 5* hotel or in an industrial laundry.
  • Higher secondary graduate. (Desirable)
  • International experience, working with culturally diverse team. (Desirable)

Skills And Knowledge Desired

Proficiency in spoken and written English
