The Department of languages College of Arts, Sciences and Information Technology at the University of Khorfakkan is seeking a dynamic and passionate Language Instructor English to join their educational institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment. As an English Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students various aspects of the English language, including reading, writing, speaking, listening and critical thinking.

Responsibilities of English Language Instructor

• Design engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities that align with curriculum objectives and educational standards.
• Deliver interactive and comprehensive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, promoting language acquisition, vocabulary expansion, grammar proficiency, and literary appreciation.
• Develop fair and effective methods to assess students’ language skills and track their progress.
• Provide timely feedback to students about their performance.
• Identify students who require extra assistance or advanced challenges and provide additional support or enrichment activities accordingly.
• Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment by implementing effective behavior management strategies and promoting mutual respect among students.
• Integrate technology tools and resources into lessons to enhance engagement and facilitate language learning.
• Foster cultural sensitivity and awareness through literature, discussions, and activities that expose students to diverse perspectives and experiences.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and methodologies in English language teaching by participating in workshops, conferences, and continuous learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with other educators, staff members, and administrators to contribute to the overall institutional environment and educational goals.
• Perform all assigned administrative tasks by the program/department, college and university.
• Mentor and advise students at all levels.

Job Requirements

Language Instructor English The requirements for the job role of English Language Instructor are as under:

• Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts Doctor or equivalent.
• Have demonstrated effective teaching experience in the above mentioned fields or related ones at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, for at least 3 years.
• Interest and experience in bridging links with industry and the community are also expected.
