Landscape Inspector, AECOM Dubai UAE

Purpose of Landscape Inspector

• Ensure that the contractors are compliant with the contract documents.
• Coordinate on a daily basis with the other teams to document and verify the quality & quantity of work performed by contractor.
• Process the incoming inspection requests and technical submittals and perform necessary actions as directed by project leads.

Job Duties of A Landscape Inspector

• Read and understand the package contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications and health and safety measures, together with any associated updates.
• Ensure that contractors comply with the standards and specifications of contract documents through observation, measurements and test as well as track quality assurance progress.
• Maintain records of contractor manpower and equipment/daily resources.
• Undertake all site supervision & inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
• Prepare report in the areas assigned to  Inspector i.e. contractor’s personnel and equipment, activities observed, location of activities, reason for activities and means and methods utilized.
• Additionally, report on materials delivery process and fully implement any site instructions given by the leader.
• Apply all quality control procedures on the site.
• Prepare site measurements and surveying checks needed by the leader.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance and code requirements by performing inspection duties.
• Monitor health and safety of construction works and report on violations.

Eligibility Criteria?

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Experience: Candidates must have experience in construction supervision with a Consultancy, with a minimum of 7 years of overall experience (minimum 5 years in the UAE).
• Experience in landscape type projects required.
• Certification: Safety training or certification would be a plus.

Knowledge & Skills Desired

• Good knowledge in basic design requirements, familiar with landscape methodologies and finishes.
• Experience in landscape of all types.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Competent at writing reports can present views clearly and concisely in good written English.
• Detailed knowledge of construction techniques.
