Parsons Corporation is seeking a talented Landscape BIM/CAD Modeler to join their team in Abu Dhabi. In this role you will perform basic to moderately-difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices and techniques. This is a mid level full time role. For this position salary can range between 5000 to 10000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of A Landscape BIM/CAD Modeler
- Provide front-line project-specific support to design teams.
- Create landscape BIM models and drawings within Revit/ Civil 3D to fulfill client requirements from LOD 100-LOD 350.
- Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare Landscape drawings consisting of general arrangements, grading plans, layouts, details, etc., from rough sketches and general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
- Develop and maintain CAD and BIM libraries, continually advancing the platforms’ efficiency and utilization.
- Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
- Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required to prepare Landscape drawings.
- Understands how to read orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
- Provide ongoing training to existing users for CAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
- Assist with the creation of CAD/BIM standards and the implementation of the same throughout the firm.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Take engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalizes them into working drawings.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of a Landscape BIM/CAD Modeler are as under:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or any relevant Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3+ years of demonstrable experience of BIM/ CAD design production experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably landscape projects.
- Experience in Clash Detection process using Navisworks.
- Experience with BIM/ CAD instruction and training.
Knowledge & Skills Desired
- In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp and Revit, with proficiency in BIM/ CAD processes.
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good capability in oral and written communication skills.
- Computer skills and the ability to utilize design software are mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with different personality types.
