The Department of Computer Science within the College of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Khalifa University invites applications for one position from highly motivated and experienced candidates to join their team as Lab Engineer in Computer Science. The successful candidate will help deliver labs for undergraduate courses for their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Labs expected to be delivered include, but are not limited to: Python Programming Language, Object Oriented Programming (with Java), Operating Systems, Software Engineering and an introductory course in Data Science/AI. Responsibilities of Lab Engineer

• Responsibilities include managing the allocation of work and responsibilities to the assigned technical team.
• Coordinating day to day operations of the assigned laboratory and the assigned laboratory staff.
• Supporting the identification and purchasing of lab equipment, following consultation with appropriate faculty and working closely with procurement / facilities management / finance departments.
• Working closely with direct supervisor to provide excellent lab services to faculty, students and researchers.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Lab Engineer are as under:

• Applicants should possess an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related disciplines from an accredited institution, along with minimum 5 years of relevant experience. They will prefer candidates with educational backgrounds from, or prior service in, distinguished higher education institutions.
