In this pivotal role, the Lab And Certification Manager at Etisalat will lead and manage a dynamic network lab environment, ensuring its smooth operation and efficient use. You will collaborate with third-party vendors to pre-integrate and pre-test telecommunication infrastructure for IT and managed service offerings. You’ll also develop use cases, build compelling client Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), and contribute to the ongoing development of artifacts and accelerators for these solutions.

Responsibilities Of Lab And Certification Manager 

• Manage all aspects of the network lab environment, including facilities, network architectures, personnel, and budget.
• Collaborate closely with third-party suppliers to pre-integrate and pre-test telecommunication infrastructure for IT and managed service offerings, encompassing technologies like SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, collaboration tools, Microsoft Direct Routing, and SIP.
• Develop and document comprehensive use cases that leverage the lab environment to showcase the capabilities of IT and managed service solutions, focusing on these specific areas.
• Build and deliver compelling Proof-of-Concept (POC) demonstrations for potential clients, highlighting the benefits and functionalities of your offerings in SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, collaboration, Microsoft Direct Routing, and SIP.
• Actively contribute to the development of reusable artifacts and accelerators that optimize IT and managed service solution development and delivery, specifically for the mentioned technologies.
• Lead the lab team in maintaining a well-organized and efficient lab environment.

Minimum Qualifications

The eligibility criteria for the role of Lab And Certification Manager are as under:

• Industry certifications, such as TMForum eTOM or ETSI NFV architecture certification.
• Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
• Experience with cloud computing technologies and concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• 5-10 years of experience in managing and running a network lab environment in the telecommunications industry.

Desired Skills & Knowledge

• Deep understanding of a broad range of network technologies, including core network, RAN, O-RAN, edge computing, network orchestration, network assurance, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, collaboration tools, Microsoft Direct Routing, and SIP.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, such as 3GPP, ETSI, and O-RAN Alliance specifications.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to build rapport, create connections, and drive engagement with internal and external partners.
• Proven background in network engineering with experience in solutioning network architectures.
