KYC Onboarding Officer RAKBANK UAE is responsible to facilitate the onboarding process for new customers, ensuring compliance with KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations and internal policies, while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities of KYC Onboarding Officer

  • To perform client on-boarding due diligence including KYC checks, BVR checks & bank statement review.
  • Assist in review and processing of RBL on-boarding files from time to time.
  • Check if the line of business for the client being on boarded is acceptable to the bank and conduct KYC and BVR review to establish acceptability for on-boarding.
  • To check risk score of the clients for the files submitted to controls/ Assessment unit in order to ascertain that risk being identified is in medium/ high category and forward for onward approvals as per relevant OP.
  • Identification of miss-presentations and various kinds of documentation frauds during the Credit Initiation/ customer on-boarding process and save the bank from potential loss.
  • Conduct system checks for customer due diligence which includes review of OPS checks and other independent checks expected as per RBL process.
  • Initiate and obtain feedbacks from various units on the file (where applicable) and initiate emails for necessary approvals
  • Ensure agreed TAT is met and continuous improvement is evidenced through internal customer feedback and necessary process improvements.

Requirements of KYC Onboarding Officer

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from reputed university.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a KYC or on boarding role.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Knowledge of credit, compliance, structural and market risks, along with the ability to mitigate the known and possible risks for ensuring quality on-boarding.
  • Project and Time Management for effective service delivery to internal/external customers.
