About the Role

As a KS1 Primary Teacher at Mamoura British Academy, you will teach all areas of the Primary English National Curriculum to Key Stage 1 students. Furthermore, you will create a positive learning environment that supports the development of the school’s unique selling proposition while planning lessons that cater to the whole ability range. Moreover, the role involves using effective technology through innovative and creative lesson delivery, evidencing children’s work in line with the school’s marking and feedback policy, and contributing to the wider life of the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach all areas of the Primary English National Curriculum at Key Stage 1
• Plan, prepare, and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range
• Organise the classroom and learning resources to encourage a positive learning environment
• Provide support and interventions for students with EAL or additional learning needs
• Take responsibility for the attainment and progress of children to ensure above-expected outcomes
• Assess and record pupils’ development using Learning Ladders assessment system
• Provide regular feedback to parents at parent-teacher conferences and meetings
• Run a weekly ECA each term to enhance the school’s provision

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Teaching experience in the English National Curriculum
• Proven success teaching across the age and ability range
• Experience working in more than one international school is desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to the school’s vision
• Passion for education and belief in the potential of every student
• Commitment to continuing professional development
