Job Description
Hotels/Restaurant industry is currently seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join their team as Kitchen Staff. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast paced kitchen environment and contribute to the creation of mouthwatering dishes.
Responsibilities of Kitchen Staff
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Follow recipes and cooking techniques to prepare dishes according to established standards and specifications.
- Operate kitchen equipment, such as grills, ovens, fryers, and food processors, safely and efficiently.
- Monitor food temperatures and cooking times to ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and assembly of menu items during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and rotating food items to minimize waste.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team and management to develop new menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Uphold company policies and procedures regarding food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
Requirements of Kitchen Staff
- High school diploma or equavalent.
- Previous experience of 1-2 years in a kitchen or food service environment preferred but not required; entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
