Job Description

Hotels/Restaurant industry is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join their kitchen team as Kitchen Staff. Responsibilities of Kitchen Staff

  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
  • Follow recipes and cooking procedures to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and slicers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
  • Assist chefs and cooks with plating and garnishing dishes to ensure presentation meets company standards.
  • Stock and organize kitchen inventory, including food ingredients, cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate food orders and ensure timely preparation and delivery to customers.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to prevent cross contamination and foodborne illnesses.
  • Adhere to kitchen policies and procedures regarding hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Assist with other duties and tasks as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

Requirements for Kitchen Staff

  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Previous experience of 1-2 years in a kitchen or food service environment.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
