Responsibilities of Kitchen Helpers

Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as per the requirements of recipes.
Stock and replenish kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed.
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
Follow food safety protocols and guidelines to ensure safe handling and storage of ingredients.
Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage in accordance with sanitation regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen supervisor.

Requirements of Kitchen Helpers

Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
Previous experience of 1-2 years working in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
