Job Purpose of Junior Sous Chef

Assist the senior kitchen staff in the preparation and execution of culinary operations while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Your Job Duties As A Junior Sous Chef At Jumeirah Al Naseem Dubai

  • Assist Sous Chef in supervision of all colleagues engaged in the kitchen.
  • Attend daily meetings with the Executive Sous Chef as required.
  • Assist Sous Chef in planning menus, recipes and test samples along with the Executive Sous Chef.
  • Write specific and accurate product specifications and standard recipes.
  • Along with Sous Chef, establish job methods, supervise and correct, if necessary, cooking standards to maintain a high quality of food and service.
  • Plan weekly rosters and review daily based on operations needs.
  • Liaise with the Chief steward to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained in all kitchen areas.
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • Completed kitchen apprentice or chefs training courses for at least 1 year .
  • Demonstrate passion for quality and cooking.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in the same position in a luxury 5-star hotel or a renowned restaurant .

Lingual Skills

  • Fluent in English.
  • Good English knowledge and understanding verbally .
