Junior Sommelier Jumeirah Al Naseem Dubai

An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sommelier to join the F&B Service Team in Jumeirah Al Naseem at King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, Madinat Jumeirah Resort, Umm Suqeim, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This is an Entry level, time job. For this role salary ranges  between 3000-6000 AED which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.

Responsibilities of Junior Sommelier

• Support the Sommelier in offering guests a world-class wine experience.
• Provide a friendly, courteous and professional service to guests and colleagues.
• Ensure the wine list is up to date with correct vintages and prices.
• Ensure all the wines are stored properly in the cellar.
• Ensure mise-en-place and correct stock levels of wine are in place before each service.
• Support sales and ensure relevant and appropriate suggestions for wine.
• Ensure 100% contribution to LQA and Forbes standards.
• Report feedback and suggestions to the Sommelier and Outlet manager.

Requirements of Junior Sommelier

• WSET Level-2 or equivalent  degree
• Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
• 1 year of experience in the same position in a restaurant sector: within a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Fluent in English and an additional international language is a plus.
• Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications: Micros and Sevenrooms.
