EDGE Group is actively hiring qualified and experienced candidate for the job role of a Junior Draughtsman (Mechanical). The selected candidate will be assigned to work at HALCON Company (subsidiary of EDGE Group). EDGE Group has just announced this vacancy and is openly accepting applications from all interested candidates.

Responsibilities of Junior Draughtsman

• Produce and / or develop high quality drawings as per the design briefs, given specifications and calculations.
• Utilize CAD or standard drafting techniques and devices to translate design information and specifications into schematics, technical drawings and production plans.
• Maintain a proper database of the drawings ensuring the necessary information is available when required.
• Review and check sketches and drawings for errors.
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.
• Interact with engineering teams and other stakeholders to resolve identified issues.
• Support in the data pack generation and management as well as CAD configuration management and change process.
• Document design details and store all drawings correctly in electronic and paper format.
• Maintain the master component library for ECAD conforming to the IPC standards.
• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
• Stay up-to-date with new drafting software and advancements.

Requirements for Role of Junior Draughtsman

The eligibility requirements for role of Junior Draughtsman (Mechanical) are as under:

• Diploma or Associate degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Professional certification in drafting / CAD certification.
• 5+ years of experience in the electrical / electronic design environment.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Knowledge of Manufacturing drawings and assy’s.
• Knowledge of relevant drawing standards and guidelines.
• Proficiency with drawing softwares, AutoCAD and CADWorx.
• Knowledge of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic CAD configuration management and change control.
• Knowledge of Mechanical / Electrical or Electronic data pack generation and management.
