Responsibilities of Junior Accountant

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets under the guidance of senior accounting staff.
• Record financial transactions accurately and timely in the company’s accounting software, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Perform bank reconciliations, verifying the accuracy of cash balances and transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, billing, and collections.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance filings, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and deadlines.
• Assist in conducting internal audits and reviews to identify discrepancies, errors, or areas for improvement in financial processes and controls.
• Assist with payroll processing, including calculation of employee salaries, deductions, and benefits.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records, files, and documentation for audit and review purposes.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned by management.

Requirements of Junior Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Previous internship or work experience of 1-2 years in accounting or finance preferred but not required.
