IT Technician Erbil Dnata Airline Dubai

As a IT Technician (Erbil) at Dnata Airline, candidate will be responsible to restore normal IT service operations within agreed service levels and business priorities and minimize the adverse impact on business operations for dnata and external clients. Responsibilities of IT Technician

• Plans and ensures implementations of all the IT help desk support related activities.
• Health and safety responsibilities
• Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
• Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Maintain records/logs of repair and fixes.
• Daily maintenance of CheckIn/Gate Hardware,
• Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
• Providing L1 support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
• Inspection of all Signage display to ensure no downtime.
• Creating, updating and maintaining seat map in Maestro.
• Proper Handover of work after shift.
• Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
• Managing technical documentation.
• Troubleshooting Network related issues.
• Responsible for the health and safety duty of care at the workplace.
• Ensure to report any hazards, injuries, ill-health or near miss to supervisor or employer.
• Cooperate with employer when they require something to be done for health and safety at the workplace.

• Managing Performance: Sets clear and measurable objectives for direct reports at a function or department level on an annual basis in line dnata framework and process.
• Drives performance accountability and enables the team to achieve through appropriate support and resourcing.
• Reward & Recognition: Partners with HR to set effective reward and recognition initiatives, that drive a high-performance culture (in line with dCGM limits)
• Talent Management: Partners with HR to ensure effective Talent Management and Succession Planning are in place to mitigate the risks of skills gaps.
• Safety: Leads with safety as a priority, ensuring all decisions are made with safety in mind. Role models safety behaviors.
• Holds direct reports accountable for fulfilling their roles in line with dnata’s safety rules and best practice.
• Behaviour: Acts as a role model for the leadership team and wider organization in all people and customer interactions.

Requirements for Role of IT Technician

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma holder in Computer Science, IT or in a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in IT Technical related role.
• 1 year of experience in Aviation Industry will be a plus.
• Certification as IT Technician will be a plus.
