Parsons Corporation is presently seeking qualified candidates for the role of an IT Operations Project Manager to join their team in Dubai. • 24/7 Operations of the Traffic Management Center.
• General support and associated operations services.
• Training to Parsons and client staff.
• Operations of Dubai tram signalized junctions.

Responsibilities of An IT Operations Project Manager

• Develop project schedules to the project activities.
• Work with the project staff to execute project on schedule and within budget.
• Manage clients and in-house staff to bring projects in at cost.
• Act as the primary liaison between client and project’s staff and establish and implement procedures to provide the agreed upon services to Client.
• Prepare and oversee preparation of technical, including manhour estimates.
• Define project, including scope of work, deliverables, schedules and specific client requirements, if any.
• Provides direction, making decisions and/or obtaining additional assistance as the situation warrants to ensure project completion per schedule and budget.
• Promote technical excellence on the project, including furtherance of the Quality Improvement Process.
• Perform adequate checking in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Ensure that work is coordinated between the Home Office staff and Site staff by maintaining clear and frequent communications.
• Advise upper management regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, delays in production, scope changes, or other events which could affect project completion and/or profitability.
• Initiate and/or reviews change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of work.

Job Requirements For IT Operations Project Manager

The eligibility requirements for role of an IT Operations Project Manager are as under:

• Bachelors Degree in engineering from a reputable institution.
• Minimum 15 years of experience with 10 years relevant experience in ITS and traffic operation projects.
• Substantial experience managing one or more large traffic operations contracts within a traffic control center.
• Substantial experience in at least one of the following Contract related areas: systems engineering, systems integration, big data analysis, traffic software development, or traffic/transportation engineering.
• Experience in for long range strategic program planning activities.
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience, especially with staff in different geographic locations.

Knowledge & Skills Desired

• Demonstrated success in keeping programs on schedule and within budget while meeting the performance goals of contracts managed, and in effectively managing multiple team members.
• Knowledge of local and regional traffic operations is desirable.
• Arabic language is a plus.
• A thorough knowledge of ITS Operations and Traffic Management principles and systems.
• Good communication skills.
