Responsibilities of An IT Administrator

  • ¬†End User hardware / software problem resolution and support.
  • IT Hardware moves, installation, and changes.
  • Workstation / Laptop configuration / reconfiguration.
  • Execution of basic network support functions, which may include data backup and recovery, printer / plotter / scanner installation and maintenance.
  • To perform office specific IT tasks as per agreements with the local office management (e.g: solution design, architecture diagrams, telephony solutions to support the office needs).
  • Building and configuring computers (hardware and software), general maintenance and administrative duties, computer stock inventory and equipment moves.
  • Microsoft office suite of products and a variety of specialized engineering and technical applications.
  • Provide support to local office based users and remote users via telephone and remote access software tools.
  • To ensure that IT related activities in an office are executed in accordance with Wood IT policies, procedures, standards and specifications.
  • To develop and sustain a strong and active working relationship with the IT Team staff within the office.
  • To assist as required in the execution of IT projects within their offices / datacenters.

Requirements For An IT Administrator

The eligibility requirements for role of an IT Administrator are as under:

  • High School or equivalent educational qualifications.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.

Knowledge & Skills Desired

  • Basic knowledge of IT software and hardware.
  • Ability to organize and prioritise personal tasks to meet deadlines and service level objectives.
  • Ability to work alone but also to contribute as part of a wider IT team towards common goals.
  • Enthusiasm, desire to learn and a team player.
